Course Description 
The main focus of the module is skin type/texture/tone determination & choice of an appropriate foundation and contouring techniques, correcting specific concerns. The module will also cover colour theory and how to apply it to makeup and colour choices. The student will learn face‐ shaping techniques using light and shadow. Practice will include on‐stage foundations vs real‐ life foundation routine.

Breakdown of learning hours: 1 credit = 25 hours of learning. Per credit: Contact hours 20%; Supervision 20%; Practice 40%, Self-study and Assessment 20%.
Delivery of modules: Individual modules will be announced at the start of the programme to fit the work-based learning and practical schedules. Our programmes are structured around a modular system of qualifications, designed to provide flexibility and responsiveness to both learners and industry partners. Given the strong work-based learning component of our programmes, it is not always possible to apply a uniform delivery model across all courses. Therefore, modules may be delivered on a weekly, monthly, or semester basis, depending on the specific requirements of the course and the availability of industry placements.
The exact delivery structure for each module or programme will be announced by the respective trainer at the start of the course, taking into account:
- the availability of work-placement opportunities,
- the learners’ and workers’ schedules, and
- the capacity of host industries to accommodate training and practical experience.
This flexible approach ensures that EVA can maintain high-quality, relevant, and industry-aligned training, while supporting both learners’ educational needs and the realities of the workplace environment.

Learning Outcome
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify the structure and functions of the skin and hair relevant to brow and eye treatments.
- Recognise common contraindications and necessary precautions for brow and eye make-up services.
- Select and prepare suitable tools, products, and equipment for brow shaping and eye make-up applications.
- Perform eyebrow shaping techniques using tweezers, waxing, and trimming tools safely and effectively.
- Apply eyebrow tinting products according to skin tone and client requirements.
- Create a variety of eye make-up looks including natural, evening, and dramatic styles.
- Blend eye shadows and use eyeliner techniques to enhance different eye shapes.
- Maintain health, hygiene, and safety standards in accordance with industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to assess their needs and provide aftercare advice.
- Demonstrate professional behaviour and appearance in a salon or beauty service setting.
